andy schechter
Andy has coached hundreds of players at Tri-City since 2003. Andy also serves as our in-house Tournament Director. Each year Andy directs multiple USTA sanctioned tournaments at the local, sectional and national level for juniors and adults. Gerry Cuva
Gerry has been involved with tennis for over 30 years. He has received a level one teaching certification from the USPTA. Gerry has served on the Board of Directors for USTA Eastern, including one term as President. He currently serves as the Northern Region President of USTA Eastern. During his tenure as coach of the Schenectady Electrics his players included Martina Navratilova and Mary Pierce. Gerry is also the varsity coach at Shaker High School.

jeff hollinger
Jeff is a lifelong tennis player. He played 5 seasons for Averill Park High School and continued at SUNY Geneseo, where he played for another 4 years and graduated with a degree in biology. A multi-sport athlete, Jeff also brings in experience coaching soccer and basketball at various levels. Jeff works well with players of all ages and levels, and believes that every tennis lesson should be informative, aerobic, and fun.

howard daley
Howard is a former satellite tour professional. He is originally from Jamaica where he coached and trained at Tennis Jamaica. He worked with the top juniors in the country as the assistant to the nation's Davis Cup Team. Howard works well with players of all ages and levels.

Voted the 2010 Times Union “Best Tennis Instructor” of the year, Leo has been playing competitively since 1975. He has been working as a instructor at Tri-City Fitness since 1995. Has won 5 of Capital District Senior Tournaments and has numerous USTA singles and doubles victories. Leo is working with many of the top juniors in the area and believes in “letting go of the outcomes” His focus with his students is on the “process” of becoming the best player they can be. He wants all his students to work hard and setting realistic goals.

tijana Markovicteaching professionalTijana comes from a prestigious tennis club from Novi Sad, Serbia, that is famous for producing world famous female tennis players such as Monica Seles. She played for Saint Peter's University and has coached in clubs in New York, Long Island, and New Jersey. Throughout her coaching career, Tiajana has coached players of all ages and levels, whether they focused on the single or doubles game. She carries a European tennis certification and has been coaching in Tri City for four years.

herb sweetfront deskHerb has worked at Tri-City since 2002. Besides working the desk over 30 hours a week, Herb is the director of tennis leagues and special events at the club. He runs many doubles events as well as well as a singles ladder for men. He has monitored over 30,000 singles ladder matches as well as run over 300 tournaments since 1987. Read more about Herb
